2009-2010 FUNDRAISERS

Creative Movement would like to have an active Booster Club designed to help parents and dancers offset expenses by raising money with a variety of fundraisers offered throughout the dance year. We need a few parents to volunteer to manage Booster Club activities. Please email info@creativemovement.com if you are interested in becoming a member.

Fundraising credits are applied directly to the dancer(s)’s CMD account and can be used to help pay costume fees, competition fees, private/group lesson fees, summer camps, summer classes, and any additional non-tuition dance expenses. Booster Club fundraisers are always optional and are open to any currently enrolled CMD dancer.

Following are some of the fundraisers coordinated by the Booster Club over the past several years that have been regularly supported by CMD dancers and parents:

• CMD Dance Gear and Apparel Sales
• Cookie Dough Sale (featuring frozen, gourmet Otis Spunkmeyer pre-portioned cookie dough)
• Butter Braid (featuring frozen, gourmet thaw, rise and bake pasteries)
• Holiday Poinsettia Sale
• Spring Plant Sale
• Concert Flower Sale

In addition to the fundraisers in which CMD families can earn credit on their dance account, the Booster Club has raised money to help CMD dancers at the studio in other ways as well:

• By helping to pay expenses toward bringing in a master (guest) dance artist to teach CMD classes during the summer intensive.
• By helping to pay Civic Center concert expenses, which helps to keep the cost to families down.
• By offsetting the cost of props for special dances
